Murray Run Greenway
Murray Run Greenway is the first part of a network consisting of several planned greenways that will link five schools in the City of Roanoke. It is popular among Grandin Road/Greater Raleigh Court area residents and Patrick Henry High School Students, as it currently links several features including the high school and the sections of the neighborhood to Fishburn Park and Virginia Western Community College.

Directions
From Interstate 581:
From I-581 South, take the Colonial Ave. exit and veer to your right. Take Colonial Ave. north to the stop light and turn left onto Brandon Avenue. Travel 1.7 miles to the intersection of Brandon and Grandin Road. Turn left onto Grandin and then take a left after ¼ mile into Patrick Henry High School. At the guard shack turn right and follow the road to the baseball field and track. Parking is located to the left of the baseball field. The start of the trail is located at the back right side of the track. Alternatively, park at Fishburn Park on Brambleton Avenue just south of the stoplight at Shenandoah Life. Go down the hill and past the playground. The trail starts at the bridge across the creek.
From Mill Mountain Discovery Center:
Turn left off J. P. Fishburn Parkway on to Walnut Avenue. Take Walnut Avenue to S. Jefferson Street and turn right. Turn right on Elm Avenue. Take I-581/US 220 S. From I-581 South, take the Colonial Ave. exit and veer to your right. Take Colonial Ave. north to the stop light and turn left onto Brandon Avenue. Travel 1.7 miles to the intersection of Brandon and Grandin Road. Turn left onto Grandin and then take a left after ¼ mile into Patrick Henry High School. At the guard shack turn right and follow the road to the baseball field and track. Parking is located to the left of the baseball field.
From the Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitor's Bureau:
Start on Shenandoah Avenue NE. Turn right onto Jefferson Avenue. Make another immediate right onto Wells Avenue. Turn right onto Williamson Road. Travel on Williamson Road until reaching the intersection will Elm Avenue, turn left. Take I-581/US 220 S. From I-581 South, take the Colonial Ave. exit and veer to your right. Take Colonial Ave. north to the stop light and turn left onto Brandon Avenue. Travel 1.7 miles to the intersection of Brandon and Grandin Road. Turn left onto Grandin and then take a left after ¼ mile into Patrick Henry High School. At the guard shack turn right and follow the road to the baseball field and track. Parking is located to the left of the baseball field.
