Lick Run Greenway
When completed, the Lick Run Greenway will link downtown Roanoke to the Valley View shopping area. The Lick Run Greenway is now in Phase 1 of its construction. The beginning terminus of the trail is located near the Target/Best Buy shopping complex, and the ending terminus can be found on Andrews Street, N.E. Currently, the greenway takes users from the urban bustle of the Valley View area to a serene area along Lick Run Creek, where not much more than the sound of the babbling stream can be heard.

Directions
From Interstate 581:
Take the Valley View Mall, exit C. Turn left at the light intot he parking lot of Target and Best Buy. Park near the road. The greenway runs on the sidewalk parrallel to the road, goes across the interchange bridge, and then down the hill to the Lick Run Creek.
From Mill Mountain Discovery Center:
Turn left off J. P. Fishburn Parkway on to Walnut Avenue. Take Walnut Avenue to S. Jefferson Street and turn right. Turn right on Elm Avenue. Take I-581 N. Take the Valley View Mall, exit C. Turn left at the light intot he parking lot of Target and Best Buy. Park near the road.
From the Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitor's Bureau:
Start on Shenandoah Avenue NE. Turn right onto Jefferson Avenue. Make another immediate right onto Wells Avenue. Turn left onto Williamson Road at the light and enter I-581 N via the on-ramp. Continue on I-581 until reaching the Valley View Exit. Take exit C. Turn left at the light intot he parking lot of Target and Best Buy. Park near the road.
