Garst Mill Greenway
The Garst Mill Greenway was the first greenway to be constructed in the Roanoke Valley. It follows the Mudlick Creek and goes through the scenic Garst Mill Park in Roanoke County. The park includes tennis courts, ball fields, playground equipment, and a picnic shelter.

Directions
From State Route 419:
Traveling North on Brambleton Ave. (Rt. 221) from Rt. 419, take a left at the
Shell station onto Garst Mill Road. Travel 1 mile and turn left at the silo
onto Halevan Road. Garst Mill Park will be on the left. The greenway starts
at the bridge.
From Mill Mountain Discovery Center:
Turn left off J. P. Fishburn Parkway on to Walnut Avenue. Take Walnut Avenue
to S. Jefferson Street and turn right. Turn right on Elm Avenue. Take I-581/US
220 S. Take the Franklin Road/419 Exit. Turn right onto Route 419 at the light
at the end of the off ramp. Take 419 N to Brambleton Avenue (US 221). Traveling
North on Brambleton Ave. (Rt. 221) from Rt. 419, take a left at the Shell station
onto Garst Mill Road. Travel 1 mile and turn left at the silo onto Halevan Road.
Garst Mill Park will be on the left. The greenway starts at the bridge.
From the Roanoke Valley Convention and Visitor's Bureau:
Start on Shenandoah Avenue NE. Turn right onto Jefferson Avenue. Make another immediate right onto Wells Avenue. Turn right onto Williamson Road. Travel on Williamson Road until reaching the intersection will Elm Street, turn left. Take I-581/US 220 S. Take the Franklin Road/419 Exit. Turn right onto Route 419 at the light at the end of the off ramp. Take 419 N to Brambleton Avenue (US 221). Traveling North on Brambleton Ave. (Rt. 221) from Rt. 419, take a left at the Shell station onto Garst Mill Road. Travel 1 mile and turn left at the silo onto Halevan Road. Garst Mill Park will be on the left. The greenway starts at the bridge.
